| Unfortunately, there are few reasonably-priced drop-in radiators for the NA 300zx. I decided to do some research into the issue since I'm in the market for a new radiator for my NA. I've heard that a 1989-1994 Maxima radiator will drop right into our Z's without any modifications. The Maxima radiators are slightly deeper than our stock NA radiators but it does not appear that they are 2-row, contrary to popular belief. I was going to purchase an oem Maxima radiator for slightly better cooling when I noticed that Genesis makes a drop in true 2-core all-aluminum radiator for 3rd gen maximas. [ http://www.genesisautoparts.com/prod...571X7161aa.htm ] While the core depth of stock Maxima radiators is a little less than 1", this upgraded radiator is 1 1/4"! Better yet, it's all-aluminum. I then checked out Ebay and noticed that a company is selling an identical radiator for $75 shipped! Maxima users have favorable reviews of this radiator: [ http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Brand...item5d2e392888 ] My only question is whether or not our oem fan shrouds will bolt up to this radiator since it's 1/4" deeper than a stock Maxima radiator? Also, it does not appear to have shroud bolt holes in the right places on the sides of the radiator. I might drill out some holes on the bottom and top parts of the shroud to adapt it to the aftermarket 2-row maxima radiator. Think this is a good plan? Thanks If we can get this radiator working with our cars, NA users would have a very economical upgrade from stock that might actually beat the cooling power of upgraded TT radiators...
